Finally after twenty two years of her ashes waiting in her cremation box, I returned to Tucson and was able to place her ashes with her Father and Sister.

Catalina Mountains

Back in 1977 I chose this mountain lookout location to place my Grandfather John Majecki's ashes for my Mother and Grandmother.  At that time this location was just a pull off on the highway up the mountain.  Nothing fancy just room enougn for a few cars.  But Now...

A totally new and expanded parking area.  I was blown away with the difference from what existed before.  But Geology Vista Point view was still my favorite one.

Unknown to me in early 2000 the old Mt Lemmon Hwy went through a beautiful roadwork update and widened a number of the pull off's and made my favorite one extra special.  Almost like they knew my mothers family would have this perment viewing area, holding our memories.

After adding Mom's ashes to her family, Kassie and I added our prayers for our family.

Now, let's continue our drive up the mountain.

For those who don't know about Summerhaven, it's the small town at the 7000+ ft level, just before the road up to the Mt Lemmon Ski area.

On YouTube I discovered a great little video made in 2013  I'm sure you'll enjoy.  Take extra attention to the tour of the Cookie Cabin.

The Cookie Cabin property was the original property I purchased back in late 1977 and owned until 1986.  The picture below is what it looked like when I bought it.

My goal was to have a cool quite place to continue my work on a new method of carving into glass, wood and stone. Rayzist Photomask was born here in 1983.

Visited my old next door neighbor Debby and her shop
The Living Rainbow.

Check out what my architect friend Doug Seaver built across from my Mt Cabin Rental property.
