Age 34 - 38
After my divorce with Patty Swanson in 1972
we sold our house at 1713 Fenwood Ave Oxen Hill, Maryland and split a nice profit.
Patty had the help of her mom and
dad in Minneapolis to look after Noelle
until she got settled in Chicago to be closer to the man she wanted to be with.
I purchased a
townhouse in SW Washington,
DC for $49,995. My new town house was
much closer to my Art Directing job at American Display on 17th Street NW Washington.
When I moved to Tucson I sold the townhouse at twice the price and purchased my 1st cabin on Mt Lemmon for $27,000. A year later I purchased the empty lot behind me for $1,000 cash and the 3 bedroom cabin next to it which was behind the Living Rainbow for $35,000 with a new mortgage.
During my time as a partner with John Goudie we worked on the following
projects:
RENAMED FRIENDSHIP
AIRPORT TO BWI
RENTED MY TOWNHOUSE in Washington DC &
TRAVELED full time for AT&T living in my motor home and
driving from coast to coast to over 25 major trade shows each year.
Helped create the MAGIC FRAME pop open exhibit.
This frame was curved and looked identical to the Nomatic Frame but didn't have the snap open lock.
We then went on and created a straight standing pop open frame that we called the Geni Portable Frame.
On this frame we patented the magnetic alignment strips to have the photo graphic line up perfectly.
I created GLOBAL SUPPLIES and provided AT&T at US trade shows
with rented carpeting, ashtrays, trash cans, vacumming & cleaning services. I ran Global for 3 years while I traveled full time for AT&T. Having my RV always with me gave me the extra space to carry rolls of carpet and cleaning supplies.
SANDBLASTED DESIGNS in Redwood leading to the Invention and
patent of Rayzist Photomasking.
